The Geek Weekend…
…is upon us. Chicago Geek Guy has two deliciously geeky events he plans to attend this weekend. It’s all about picking out the right costume.
Bristol is a destination for Trinity and I every summer. The jousting’s gotten a bit cheesy, but the music, food, entertainment, shopping, and fun get better every year. The weather is not supposed to be too good on Saturday, but that’s when we plan to make our annual pilgrimage.
Personally, I’ll be shopping for a new kilt this time out. I’m hoping to find something at Angus Harvey’s.
Saturdays and Sundays until September 5. Tickets at the gates or at select Walgreen’s. Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Join the well attired Steampunks of Chicago, including yours truly, as we wander through Graceland Cemetery. The goal is to visit the graves of Chicago notables like Louis Sullivan, George Pullman, Allan Pinkerton, and Marshall Field.
We’ll meet at the gate at Clark and Irving Park at noon and head out from there. I might even be wearing a new kilt!
